THE CALLING CARD OF THE SEASON
The OSKA
colour
palette
Colours evoke emotions and create moods. Every shade has its own vibration — loud or subdued, strong or restrained, it makes a statement to the outside world and emphasizes personality. Few things do this as effectively as the clothing we choose.
Colour design, coordinated anew for each season, is a top priority at OSKA.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
OF COLOUR
Coloured — yet never colourful.
Calm and unobtrusively orchestrated: our philosophy of colour follows a subtle scheme of diffuse, subdued natural tones — regardless of seasonal trends. Soft, warm nuances hold their own next to cool, smoky and shadowy neutrals.
Black and white alternate with shaded hues of brown, blue and green. Only occasionally does a luminous shade step forward to form a striking contrast.
SEASON’S COLOURS
Twenty new shades, twice a year
Every season — Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter — our design team develops a colour concept of roughly twenty new shades, each assigned to the particular qualities that make up the collection.
Which colours bring out the specific character of linen? Which shades accentuate a boiled wool? That is the point of the process. The colour card created for each season lets the beauty of the material show.
DYED TO ORDER
Colour that arrives when you do
A large part of the collection is garment-dyed: finished, sewn pieces in raw white are placed in the dye bath — a technique linen, cotton and viscose take to especially well.
Pieces are dyed in the quantities our customers and shops actually order. An elaborate, select procedure — and a guarantee that every piece of a colour group shows the same nuances and harmonizes perfectly with the rest.
THE EXPERT’S EYE
Which colour, for whom?
Which shade matches which type — and how does it behave on different materials? Individual colour consultations by our schooled professionals are part of the service at every point of sale.
We take the time, make suggestions, and invite you to play with new forms of expression — for a relaxed shopping experience.
WE ARE CONTINUING TO DEVELOP
New colour formulas,
season after season
With special colour pigments and additional washing procedures we achieve the OSKA-typical vintage dyes — effects that require creative finesse, deep expertise and a properly qualified staff.
PRO LEN, our partner company in the Czech Republic, fulfils these prerequisites at the highest level, with a dye house and pressing room of its own. Together with our design team in Munich, it keeps surprising our customers with innovative dyeing techniques.
