THE OSKA PROMISE

Quality

For us, quality is a far-reaching concept — with respect to our products, customers, suppliers and employees. Timeless design, choice natural materials and relaxed wearing comfort have been its measure since the first collection.

FABRICS

A significant design element.

The special character of our materials is a defining element of the OSKA look. Many fabrics are woven or knitted exclusively for us, and their surfaces — matte next to lustrous, smooth next to structured — give each collection its quiet tension.

Apart from light linen in summer and boiled wool as it gets colder, we use natural fabrics wherever skin comfort matters. Quality, here, is something you feel before you see it.

OUR FIBRES

Four materials carry the collection

Coloured Linen Fabric

01

Linen

A NATURAL BEAUTY, MADE IN EUROPE

OSKA linen comes from European flax fields and has been the backbone of our summer collections since the beginning. Cool on the skin, naturally lustrous, and beautifully suited to garment-dyeing. It develops a lively surface that only gets better with wear.

Creases are part of its character — linen is a fabric that shows life rather than hiding it.

02

Cotton

LIGHT, ROBUST, VERSATILE

Cotton fabrics are the most popular in our collections — light yet robust, at home in every season. Whether woven into checks, knitted into jersey or blended for structure, cotton takes the garment-dye bath as readily as linen.

We source certified qualities and avoid unnecessary finishing: the fibre’s own softness is the point.

03

Boiled wool

WARM, LIGHT, HOLDS ITS SHAPE

Boiled wool is one of the oldest fabrics of mankind — and an OSKA speciality. Washing and fulling interlock the fibres until the cloth is dense, warm and remarkably light, with a significant degree of stretch.

It is the quality that carries our colour palette through winter, and it keeps its shape season after season. The palette we love best: undyed, in its natural shades.

04

Hemp

ROBUST, BREATHABLE, UNDEMANDING

We have been using cotton-hemp blends for years — a fibre that is robust and breathable, with a firm hand that softens beautifully with wear. Hemp grows quickly, needs little water and no pesticides, which makes it especially suited to our understanding of sustainability.

Like linen, hemp textiles are easy to care for and are best washed inside out.

Creating the collection

Colour themes, fabrics and patterns are developed with meticulous consistency. A new collection takes five months from first sketch to final fitting.

Production

We work with long-standing European partners — above all PRO LEN in the Czech Republic, with a dye house and pressing room of its own.

Quality control

Every cloth is tested for tensile strength, abrasion, colour-fastness and pilling — and for everyday life in the washing machine.

OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100

OSKA complies with the requirements of the textile industry in accordance with the Oeko-Tex Standard 100.

THE PEOPLE BEHIND IT

Quality is made by hands we know

We visit our production partners regularly and have known many of the people at their machines for decades. Fair working conditions are not a certificate for us — they are a relationship.

That is what we mean when we say sustainability is the starting point of every collection, not a campaign.
